- The maximum payout of any Multi Leg Wager on Australian Thoroughbred Racing is $20,000. On any other Multi Leg wager the maximum payout is $10,000. This includes all bet types such as Top Fluctuation, Tote betting and Fixed. NOTE: We do not do Multi Bets including the BOB.
- Notwithstanding the dividend declared by any Australian TAB, the maximum dividend that Vicbet will be obliged to pay out in respect of any 'Tote' or 'Tote-Derivative' Win or Place bet shall not exceed $101.00.
- In the case of any 'Tote' or 'Tote-Derivative' product (including, without limitation, Racing Exotics), Vicbet reserves the right to limit the total payout to a Customer in respect of a successful wager to the total amount held in the relevant Victorian Supertab pool.
- VicBet may elect, at its sole and absolute discretion, to pay a Customer more than the maxima prescribed in the tables set out in this Clause.
- Unless otherwise agreed or elsewhere stated in writing, the maximum amount that VicBet will be obliged to payout to a Customer on any single racing event - notwithstanding the number or amount of wagers placed by that Customer on said event - shall be limited as follows:
- 'Minimum Bet Liability Limits'
- The maximum amount that a Customer can stake on any wager will be determined by Vicbet Management on a case-by-case basis having regard to factors such as the level of the event on which the wager is placed and the prevailing market conditions. Vicbet will attempt to satisfy all bet requests but may reject or partially accept certain bet requests at its discretion, subject only to any 'Minimum Bet Limit' applied by any wagering control authority in the relevant jurisdiction.
- A number of Australian wagering control bodies prescribe 'Minimum Bet Limits' for the benefit of punters. For events in which a 'Minimum Bet Limit' has been officially prescribed, we must accept any wagers where the Customer's potential profit is below the specified threshold. Some of the Minimum Bet Limits in place are summarised below:
Gallops
Metropolitan
Gallops
Provincial &
CountryVIC $2,000/800 $1,000/400 NSW $2,000/800 $1,000/400 NT No MBL No MBL QLD $1,000/400 $1,000/400 SA $1,000/400 $1,000/400 TAS $1,000 $1,000 WA $1,000 $500 Please Note:
'Minimum Bet Limits' apply only to 'Fixed Odds' bets. They do not apply to bets on 'Top Fluctuation', 'Best of the Best', tote or tote-derivative products, racing exotics, or multi-leg bets.
'Minimum Bet Limits' apply to bets placed after 9:00am on the day of the race meeting, unless the meeting is a night meeting in which event the 'Minimum Bet Liability Limits' take effect at 2:00pm on the day of the race meeting. In both Victoria and Queensland if prices are live for the thoroghbred meeting then MBL applies.
- 'Fixed Odds (Place) ' Betting & Reduced Fields
- Where there are eight (8) or more runners in a given race, 'Fixed Odds (Place)' dividends will be paid in respect of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters.
- Where there are seven (7), six (6) or five (5) runners in a given race, 'Fixed Odds (Place)' dividends will be paid only in respect of the 1st and 2nd placegetters.
- Where there are less than five (5) runners in a given race (including where the field is reduced as a result of late scratchings), all 'Fixed Odds (Place)' wagers (including the 'Place' portion of any 'Each-Way' wagers) will be voided.
- 'Tote' & 'Tote-Derivative' Betting
- In the event that trading in one or more of the totalisator pools is suspended or interrupted, VicBet reserves the right to postpone the resulting of any wager contingent on any of said totalisator pools until such time as the suspension or interruption is resolved.
- In the event that one or more of the Australian TAB's (STAB, NSW or QLD) returns an elevated dividend owing the smaller pool sizes (particularly place pools) or any other reason then VicBet reserves the right to exclude or ignore that elevated dividend or dividends for the purposes of calculating the payout of any contingent or affected wager. If the Best Tote (BT) Win Bets or Middle Tote (MT) Place Bets dividend is more than double the Final Fixed Odds dividend we will pay out at the Final Fixed Odds displayed for the Win or the Place on the VicBet website. As an example (so there is no confusion), if a client has $1k the Place at the Middle Tote (MT) and the MT pays $9.60, however the Final Fixed Odds for the place are $4.60. In this case the MT is more than double the Final Fixed Odds (which is the fairer odds) then we reserve the right to payout the wager at the Final Fixed Odds as displayed on the Vicbet website on the Bet Screen.
- If the total amount of any totalisator pool for any product is less than five hundred dollars ($500.00), VicBet may, at it sole and absolute discretion, disregard such totalisator pool in the calculation of any tote-derived dividend.
- VicBet may, at its discretion, place a limit on the payout in respect of any 'Tote' or 'Tote-Derivative' wager such that the dividend at which a Customer's wager is paid will not be more than double the amount of the second-highest of the dividends declared by the three Australian TABs.
- 'Tote-Derivative (Place) ' Betting
- 'Tote-Derived (Place)' dividends shall be paid in respect of any runner for which the Victorian TAB declares a place dividend.
- In the event that one or more of the Australian TAB's (STAB, NSW or QLD) returns an elevated dividend owing the smaller pool sizes or any other reason then VicBet reserves the right to exclude or ignore that elevated dividend or dividends for the purposes of calculating the payout of any contingent or affected wager. In short so there is no confusion, if the Middle Tote dividend is higher than the Final Fixed odds WIN dividend then the wager will be paid at the "True Odds' which is the Final Fixed Odds PLACE dividend as displayed on the VicBet website.
- Notwithstanding the dividends declared by any Australian TAB, VicBet reserves the right to apply a cap on, and downwardly adjust, any 'Tote-Based (Place)' dividend such that the 'Tote-Based (Place)' dividend of a runner does not exceed the 'Tote-Based (Win)' dividend of said runner (as declared by any of the three TABs).
- Schedule of Deductions
- The following table details the amount that will be deducted from the 'Fixed Odds' dividend taken by a Customer in the event of a runner being scratched after the placement of the Customer's bet

- Column D is the amount that will be deducted from the Customer's 'Fixed Odds (Place)' dividend before their bet is resulted in a market where 'Place' bets are being paid on the 1st and 2nd placegetters only.
- Racing Exotics
- For all racing exotics, the Customer will receive the dividend declared by the Victorian TAB.
- In the event of a 'jackpot':
- If the Customer has a Unit Stake of greater than 1, the Customer will receive the dividend derived by dividing the amount of the Victorian TAB jackpot by the Customer's Unit Stake; or
- If the Customer has a Unit Stake of less than 1, the Customer will receive the dividend derived by multiplying the amount of the Victorian TAB jackpot by the Customer's Unit Stake.
- In the unlikely event that the Victorian TAB is not offering racing exotics in the location in which the Customer's exotic wager is struck, the Customer will receive the lowest of the dividends declared by the New South Wales TAB and Queensland TAB.
- In addition to the maximum payouts detailed in Section 5E, VicBet reserves the right to further limit the total payout to a Customer in respect of a successful racing exotics wager if the total amount to be paid out to a Customer would exceed the total amount held in the relevant Victorian TAB pool. In such an event, VicBet may, acting in its sole and absolute discretion, limit the total payout to Customers to the total amount held in said Victorian TAB pool.
- Except in the case of Quadrella bets, if a runner forming part of a Customer's exotics selections is either scratched or declared a 'non-runner' after the placement of the wager, the Customer will receive a refund in respect of every combination that includes the scratched runner.
- In the case of Quadrella bets, if the Customer's Quadrella selections include a runner or runners that is/are later scratched, the 'substitute' (as nominated by the Victorian TAB) will be added to the Customer's selections in place of each of the Customer's selections that have been scratched.
